Full Wire

LONDON 2186 - New advances in organ cloning have resulted in longer lifespans and a culture of bodily augmentation and substance abuse. The most notable technology is an immersive internet experience that is transmitted directly to the mind, via an implant called a CLIP. Pierre is a middle class layabout. He and his friend Jani - a troubled girl with a dark past, bounce around town permanently high. When Jani unexpectedly falls ill, he is contacted by a criminal called Maclise, a specialist in black market transplants, who is being hunted by both the police and the underworld. Maclise tells Pierre about a secret, globally outlawed, mind uploading experiment called Full Wire. This could save Jani's consciousness though her body would die. He convinces Pierre to follow him to Scotland, to a colony of Exodusters - a Luddite community - to find the man who built the machine. But when they arrive every-thing goes from bad to worse.
