For a lockdown Diwali, we're celebrating in the bookshop with sweets, [small] diyas, tunes, and some of our favourite books with South Asian characters in children's books. From classics like Wheel of Surya's to our 2020 bestseller When Secrets Set Sail, we have mysteries, adventures, histories, and even the odd SATS-cheating insect that will transport you. 

(Some of these come from Meena, who has been working here since the 80s but doesn't do computers. Some of these come from Sanchita, who has been meticulously cataloguing every South Asian character since she started working at the bookshop a few years ago. It's a hobby.)
