Elle McNicoll

ÂŁ8.99 ÂŁ8.54

What an utterly glorious, hug in a book of a romance novel with a neurodivergent protagonist! 18-year-old Jasper is heading home for the holidays and is her small towns golden girl, what no one knows is Jasper has returned to say goodbye. Arthur, a budding filmmaker and Jasper’s nemesis, is creating a film of the town but Jasper’s arrival is about to disrupt everything and a budding film maker soon starts giving her reasons to stay. Apocalypse Cow

Apocalypse Cow

O.R. Sorrel

ÂŁ8.99 ÂŁ8.54

Hilarious! An absolutely awesome YA read that is sure to make everyone laugh out loud. When the apocalypse finally happens, no one was expecting the animals to turn mutant and take over. Even though it hasn't rained for a year and is 30 degrees in January, due to be completely in love with her very straight best friend, the end of the world happening seems to have completely passed over Mel’s head. She most definitely wasn't expecting to be trapped in a mansion with the very posh Dorian who she can't stand and her mortal enemy, Ella who has made her life utter hell. Can they put their differences aside and survive? This book quite simply fantastic, it has a bit of everything. Romance, adventure, humour, talking ravens, seagulls who poo lava and foxes that shoot lightning bolts. It's right up there with my favourite books of the year and would read it all over again tomorrow. Not laughed and smiled so much reading a book in a long time!

A jewel heist that goes wrong ends in murder and it's down to Kat, Liam and Augustus to solve what is going on before they are the next ones to end up dead. This fast paced and really exciting thriller has brilliant characters and some great plot twists. A must read.

This is currently my favourite YA series it’s so compulsively addictive that as soon as I finished the first book I ran down the stairs to get the second(advantages of living above the shop). Avery is your average teenage girl until she’s called to the hearing of the will of Tobias Hawthorne-a man she’s never met and discovers she’s inherited his billion dollar fortune. However nothing is simple, his family want their rightful inheritance, Avery is in danger living in a world she’s not used to and in a mansion with no one that likes her and the only person that has any answers is dead. Avery will have to team up with Tobias’s grandsons to solve all the puzzles left behind to find out the truth. A brilliant read with so many twists your never guess what’s going to happen next.

Nothing More to Tell

Nothing More to Tell

Karen M. McManus

ÂŁ8.99 ÂŁ8.54

Bold statement I know but I personally think Karen M McManus’s new thriller Nothing More to Tell is her best since One of Us is Lying! 4 years ago Mr Larkin, a teacher from Saint Ambrose School was found murdered in the Woods by 3 students. After 3 years away, Brynn has just moved back and got an internship at Motive, a true crime tv show. Brynn starts investigating the unsolved case but with a list of suspects that continues to grow who are all trying to hide their own secrets will the truth ever be known? With many subplots the twists just keep coming and every time you think you’ve worked it out another suspect is thrown into the mix. A fantastic thriller that you won’t be able to put down. No Karen M McManus fan will be disappointed and anyone who loved A Good Girls Guide to Murder, this is for you. Also loved the very small One Of Us is Lying reference.

Wellllllll, this was one addictive YA read! A near future dystopian novel. The Arcadia cruise ship has been home to many, they have lived and died on the water for more than 40 years. Ruled by the Coaly’s who work for and support the Federated State. As laws start tightening, rations being cut and Coaly’s on the warpath, something is definitely up. When Esther is forced to save Nik’s life little did she know that she would be dragged into a whole new world of gangs and the rebellion, trying to prevent the ship and its inhabitants being “cleared” and releasing its grip from the Coaly’s. A brilliant book told from the point of view of Nik, Esther and Hadley(Head Coaly) that’s perfect for fans of The Hunger Games and Divergent. I loved it!

WOW!!!! I might be slightly behind everyone else with starting this series, I’ve no idea what took me so long, thank goodness I waited because the whole series is now available. What an EPIC read, I have literally not been able to do anything else apart from read. Set in a future where artificial intelligence is experimenting on “regular” humans and trying to eradicate humankind, can a group of teenage prisoners of The Loop, escape and save what is left of the World? Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner or for anyone that wants a fast paced, addictive, science fiction, dystopian novel! Quite simply The Loop series by Ben Oliver is BRILLIANT.

The Reluctant Vampire Queen: a laugh-out-loud teen read

Jo Simmons

ÂŁ7.99 ÂŁ7.59

If your looking for a funny YA read then this is the book for you. Guaranteed to have you chuckling from the first page, this is a vampire novel like other. Mo has a plan, a plan as to exactly how her life is going to pan out….Bogdan, a 600 year old vampire materialising out of a hedge on her bike ride home, telling her she’s the chosen one to be Vampire Queen was definitely not part of that plan. Is it possible to have it all? Get the rather dishy Luca to stick around, still get your dream job in politics, make sure your family and friends don’t get eaten, be a vegetarian vampire and grant Bogdan his wish to retire in the Caribbean?…..well it won’t be easy but it certainly makes for a hilarious read. With no swear words or hanky panky makes this a great read for anyone 11/12+.

Sera Milano

ÂŁ7.99 ÂŁ7.59

I don’t know what I expected when I decided to pick up and read This Can Never Not Be Real but oh my I certainly wasn’t expecting the most incredible, powerful and fast paced novel. Told from the perspective of 5 teenagers who find themselves in a fight to survive, this novel tells the story of one night that change their lives-a terrorist attack at a small town music festival. Written in a way that you are so invested in the characters, it feels like your actually living the nightmare these teenagers are going through, pretty sure my heart rate was going unhealthily fast throughout the entire book. You won’t be disappointed and I challenge anyone to not read this in one sitting(I don’t think it’s possible to put down).

ÂŁ7.99 ÂŁ7.59

An atmospheric, thrilling, full of twists vampire novel. For older readers(like myself) it’s a real nostalgic throwback to the 90s with a real cult classic feel(a Spotify list should be made) For the modern day teen it’s an awesome gothic novel that fans of Stranger Things, Sabrina and Buffy will really enjoy, it will make you want to watch all the classic vampire films and visit New Orleans-it really is just like the descriptions(I cannot comment on the vampires mind). A thoroughly enjoyable read and nice to read something a little different in YA. Also throughout the whole book I kept saying this would make a brilliant tv series, so if it happens(I hope) you heard it here first! .
