The 2021 Klaus Flugge Prize Longlist
The Klaus Flugge Prize, established in 2016, is awarded to the most promising and exciting newcomer to children’s picture book illustration. It honours Klaus Flugge, founder of publisher Andersen Press and a supremely influential figure in picture books.
Some of our favourite picture books of recent years have won the prize, including brilliant books highlighting the plight of refugees The Journey (Francesca Sanna) and My Name is Not Refugee (Kate Milner).
RSPB Birds: Explore their extraordinary world
Miranda Krestovnikoff and Angela Harding
I'm Sticking with You: A funny feel-good classic to fall in...

Child of Galaxies (Charlotte Ager) was also nominated, but unfortunately isn't currently available on Bookshop.org.
