North and West Cheshire Traction

Description

This book focuses on the variety of traction that can be seen in Cheshire away from the hub of Crewe. The photographs featured offer an insight into the various motive power around the area and covers the West Coast Mainline between Winsford and Warrington, including the spur that goes to Runcorn and Widnes (onwards to Liverpool) and various lines around Chester, especially to Northwich and Warrington. Also included is the Ditton to Arpley line that serves Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, and parts of the former CLC line that serves Warrington Central Station.
