Books for Radical Midwives
A bookshop curated by the Association of Radical Midwives and members - because good midwifery books matter. Here you will find books recommended by Radical Midwives that continue to teach us, keep us questioning the status quo and help us fight for the right to be able to practice real midwifery and be 'with-woman'. With everything from physiology, positioning, ancient practice, witches and women healers, current midwifery affairs, how-to-guides, waterbirth, feminism, activist midwifery communities around the world, human rights and memoirs of our midwife heroes; you will find something to inspire you, be you a birthgiver or birthkeeper (or birthkeeper-in-training!). Please bear in mind that this is a constantly growing list and Bookshop.org doesn't yet have all of our best books on its archives. Some recommendations you may even have to dig out in old midwifery libraries or archives, but we will try to list them here so you know what to look for if you ever find yourself in such a magnificent place.
