The Big Issue

The Big Issue is a street newspaper founded by John Bird and Gordon Roddick in 1991 and published in four continents. It was created to help homeless people earn an income and reintegrate into mainstream society. It is one of the UK’s leading social enterprises, and also a multi-award winning magazine lauded for its pioneering journalism in the fields of news and arts/entertainment. In 2019 it published A Letter to my Younger Self,  a collection of the 100 best interviews from its famous feature of the same name. The editor of that book is the Big Issue books editor and curator of this shop. Jane Graham.
