We are an established (1981) independent bookshop in Devizes, situated in a beautiful listed Georgian building. We are proud to have been chosen best independent shop in the Devizes Constituency for 2014. We carry a good range of new books, including titles of local interest, and boast a large children's book room. Our map selection includes both Michelin & Ordnance Survey and we have had our own "Devizes Walking Map" printed with Devizes at the centre. We are able to order any book not in stock, many delivered next day and also undertake "Out of Print" book searches. We are able to send books to any location in the world! Above the bookshop is an art gallery, with work by local artists, where we hold monthly literary evenings and occasional literary suppers.

Devizes Books are able to take orders by phone, email, social media & notes shoved through the door, which can be sent directly to you by one of our suppliers, or supplied from stock and delivered by post, or dog walker if local. Our stock obviously includes book tokens (our own vouchers & national), cds, vinyl, toys, cards, wrapping paper or anything in the gallery (subject to how on earth we get one of Colin’s paintings to you...)
If you have had to self isolate or you feel unable to visit Devizes, and are in dire need of a good book, we urge you to take advantage of this service, books can be sent out by post and we will not be charging for the postage during this difficult period. 
We can take payment by phone, including National Book Tokens, I will also accept cash or cheque, in a sealed envelope please, and our own Book Vouchers.
