Dogberry & Finch Books is Okehampton's first independent, locally-owned bookshop in 30 years. Our packed launch party on 24th August 2019 featured the legendary Lord of the Rings illustrator, Alan Lee, children's writer Philip Reeve, fine artist Danny Holmes-Adams, and local dignitaries. 

We offer a wide selection of beautiful, carefully-curated new books for adults & children. We also showcase local artists, displaying regular art exhibitions in the bookshop. We've held numerous sell-out community & author events, and collaborated with local schools, organisations and community groups. We are an official stockist for cards and art prints by illustrator Chris Dunn, and also stock jigsaws, stationary, book-related gifts & gift wrap.
