Harbour Books
Harbour Books is a small, independent bookshop that has been serving the Whitstable community for over 25 years. In early 2020 with the onset of the pandemic the shop was forced to close, and for too long Whitstable was without its bookshop. But in October 2020 the shop finally reopened under new ownership following a full refurbishment. We now have a brand new kids section in the back of the shop where kids are welcome to relax and settle in with a book – they’ll love our comfy window seat. Our main room of books focuses on; contemporary fiction, classics, crime, biography and memoir, politics, feminism, history, nature writing, poetry, food and art. We have a knowledgeable staff who are always on hand with a recommendation if desired.
