The Book Vault provides a space for people to discover books and the magic of reading. This is our page on Bookshop Org! This is a national website which supports independent bookstores. All orders are sent out from central suppliers: If you choose us to support, we receive 30% of sale price.

Step One - click on our store! You should see our name on the top left of the website to show we are your selected store. Step Two - choose books! Either find a book from our book lists, or use the search or browse options. Please note that if you select a book from someone else's list, the payment will go to that shop or publisher. Step Three - buy the books!

We are an independent bookstore in Barnsley town centre. We aim to provide something for everyone, with new and bestselling authors alongside classics and eclectic sections across fiction and non-fiction, including a dedicated children’s space.

The Book Vault is a family-owned book shop which aims to support the communities of Barnsley, encouraging people to explore the joys of reading. Our shop offers a broad range of books and related products, including a focus on our children's area. We have backgrounds in literature and the arts, in education and language, ready to support visitors with advice on finding the perfect book for every young visitor. 

We offer customer orders and book searches, including hard-to-find and out of print titles. In addition to collecting from store, we offer postal service and home delivery options to the local area.
