bookhaus: right in the heart of the vibrant Wapping Wharf of Bristol's Harbourside. Our stock, curated carefully by our booksellers means that there's a book on our shelves for everyone, and that you'll likely leave with something surprising. 

We have a team of wonderful booksellers armed always with their best recommendations and talk about their loved and latest reads. In our shop you will find all the books that any bookshop should carry as well as writing published by independent presses, fiction in translation, poetry, contemporary fiction and political works on anti-imperialism, feminism, socialism, environmentalism, abolition. We also share space with some of Bristol's best restaurants and we aim to reflect that with a big cookery section. Under 'sustenance' you will find everything you need (and more) to sustain and inspire your culinary cravings. 

Not to mention the KIDS... we have dedicated a huge chunk of our shop to children's literature and have a highly curated selection of children's books. We have a few of the classics but like to champion children's authors who craft exciting, adventurous worlds that all of us can recognise ourselves in.
 

We wish to build a lasting community space in Bristol, and with the books we stock and events we run (there are many!) we hope to be encouraging people to think critically about the world around us; to convene, collaborate and question.
