We are a new independent family-run bookshop in the heart of St Albans, Hertfordshire. We first opened our doors in November 2019.
The dream was of creating a warm and inviting, old-fashioned bookshop. A haven for busy lives. A meeting place for readers, writers, poets, talkers, speakers, thinkers and dreamers. To hold literary events for book lovers across the ages.

Books ordered through Bookshop.org cannot be picked up from or returned to our shop in St Albans and we are unable to offer our gift-wrapping service. To get a more personalised service please visit our main website here.
We can also source in books (old and new) and get them delivered straight to your door or you can collect your book/s from the shop through our main website. Requests can be made via our website, over the phone (01727807248), via email ([email protected]) or in person.
