Branford Boase Award

Now in its 25th year, the Branford Boase Award rewards the most promising new writers for children and their editors. It commemorates award-winning author Henrietta Branford and her editor Wendy Boase, one of the founders of Walker Books. The award is given annually to the author of the oustanding debut book for children age 8 and above and to the book's editor.
