Haltwhistle Academy Bookshop

At Haltwhistle Academy we LOVE books!  Welcome to our little independent bookshop which is filled with books recommended by our children, teachers and families.  We have started our bookshop with shelves of the 'core texts' that children will encounter as they progress through our school.  These are a selection of essential children's literature which might be shared as part of a broader theme or topic, and in Years 3-6, or enjoyed as part of 'Love to Read' in class.  We know our children often like to have their own copy so that they can reread these favourite stories again at home.  We hope these lists are helpful to our parents and encourage reading at home.

Our school librarians will be creating their own Recommended Reads which will also feature here, so watch out for their recommendations!
