High Peak Bookstore and Café, with 5,000 square feet of book-buying heaven, occupies an ideal location in the heart of the Peak District in Derbyshire, within easy reach of Buxton, Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock and close to the numerous attractions offered by the Peak District and Staffordshire Moorlands. We have been here for 20 years and boast the most wonderful regular customers for miles around...in our humble opinion! 

We offer an eclectic mix of titles across a wide range of subject areas, many of which are less than half price. We also have a fine range of greeting cards in stock and a small, but perfectly formed, gift and stationery area. We love to support local talent and have  'Local Artisan' and 'Local Author' sections in the shop. Our children's room has a magical 'jungle' theme and offers toys and games as well as picture flats, young fiction and educational books.

If you ever get chance to visit us in person, the cafe is also a must for a delicious, homemade lunch and a locally roasted coffee.
