I read very widely across a range of genres, of which my favourites are contemporary fiction, non-nightmarish crime (not necessarily cosy, but no women tortured in basements, either), and cookery. 
 

I also write books. The most recent two are here (a retelling of Nancy Mitford's The Pursuit of Love, shortlisted for the Bollinger Wodehouse prize for comic writing) and here (a guide to beauty products that actually work for 40+ women).
