As a librarian with twenty years experience in both school and public libraries I have seen how books make a difference to people and how sharing books with others creates a community. Having now retired from school librarianship I have time to read and review more books than ever before. As Chair of the Surrey branch of the School Library Association I also retain links to school librarians and libraries.
My weekly newsletter, Reading Matters, published each Saturday, is a quick guide to all the latest news and contains helpful links, resources and reviews. I continue to share book recommendations with librarians, teachers, parents and all who care about books for children of all ages through my blog and also through my regular reviews for the School Librarian Journal and the Just Imagine website.
