Liverpool Learning Partnership
The Liverpool Learning Partnership is an education charity that aims to bring together the “family of Liverpool schools.” We work with over 160 schools within the city of Liverpool, from nursery settings to secondary schools with sixth forms. Our main aim is to ensure that education in Liverpool is successfully co-ordinated to prioritise the needs of all learners. Our priorities include mental health, cultural and arts education, reading for pleasure, attendance and transition between stages of education.
As part of our work on Reading for Pleasure, we have worked with over 100 schools to set up extra-curricular reading groups for vulnerable children, have provided book boxes for Summer Schools for children moving from Primary to Secondary, have worked with Read for Good to set up the annual Liverpool Readathon and have established the Liverpool Children's Festival of Reading. We work with schools in Liverpool to further develop their reading collections and their Reading for Pleasure offer for children/families. You can find a range of booklists and reading resources for schools on our website.
