Olivia Laing is a widely acclaimed writer and critic. She’s the author of To the River, The Trip to Echo Spring and The Lonely City, which has been translated into 17 languages and sold over 100,000 copies worldwide. In 2018 she was awarded the Windham Campbell Prize for non-fiction, and in 2019 her first novel, Crudo, won the James Tait Black Prize. She lives in Suffolk.
