Orb's Community Bookshop

We are a wee community bookshop based in rural Aberdeenshire, Scotland. We stock both new and secondhand books and are run entirely by volunteers for the good of the community. 

We stock all formats and genres, but we specialise in Scottish interest, Scottish authors, natural history and nature writing, poetry, and books for children. We have a large collection of children's picture books including those in Scots and Doric and a good range of books for dyslexic young readers. We love to champion indie publishers, especially those based in Scotland.

Huntly is the birthplace of pioneering fantasy author, George MacDonald and we stock a wide range of his books including collectable and rare editions.
