OKHA, the queer + Black book club
PRIM is a digital platform for storytelling. Our focus is to make stories by African, Caribbean and Afro-Latinx fam available and readily accessible. It was born out of not seeing enough queer stories and generally stories of people of Black ancestry.
We run OKHA, a monthly book club prioritising queer and Black fam and written works by African, Caribbean & Afro-Latinx authors. For each session we will provide the read, have an exhibition by a queer + black artist and usually another component such as a panel discussion, author Q+A or screening.
Our shop features your must have reads by authors of Black ancestry. We encourage you to support local independent bookshops whenever you can, so take a second to see if you can order the book from a local Bookshop.org store.
