Siop y Pethe ~ Welsh Bookshop
Siop y Pethe was the first ever Welsh shop of its kind. Opened in 1967 it started the trend that led to what is today a large community of Welsh bookshops across Wales. The physical shop in Aberystwyth, Mid Wales stands proud in the centre of the town.
The main ethos of the shop is to sell and promote Welsh books & book by Welsh authors & publishers. We also sell additional items such as Welsh Music CD's, Crafts & Gifts that are made in Wales as well as a large selection of greeting cards.

Siop y Pethe oedd y siop Gymreig gyntaf erioed o'i math. Fe’i hagorwyd ym 1967 a dechreuodd y duedd a arweiniodd at yr hyn sydd heddiw’n gymuned fawr o siopau llyfrau Cymru ledled Cymru. Mae'r siop gorfforol yn Aberystwyth, Canolbarth Cymru yn sefyll yn falch yng nghanol y dref.
Prif ethos y siop yw gwerthu a hyrwyddo llyfrau a llyfrau Cymru gan awduron a chyhoeddwyr o Gymru. Rydym hefyd yn gwerthu eitemau ychwanegol fel CDs Cerddoriaeth Gymreig, Crefftau ac Anrhegion a wneir yng Nghymru yn ogystal â dewis mawr o gardiau cyfarch.
