Storysmith

Storysmith opened in 2018, and was shortlisted for UK Independent Bookshop of the Year in 2020, 2021 and 2022. We were named Independent Bookshop of the Year for the South West in 2023. As a destination bookshop we serve customers from across the city of Bristol and beyond. 

We pride ourselves on our curation (check out our lists below to get an idea of our tastes), but also on our ability to serve customers beyond this, no matter their literary request.

Our perennially popular Subscriptions for Curious Readers and Subscriptions for Curious Babies are a great way to keep your reading habits broad and interesting. 

In the shop itself we also serve locally roasted coffee, run a full programme of literary events and generally try to stop our shop dog Roy from jumping up at people.
