Next Page Books

Next Page Books is an independent children's bookshop in beautiful Hitchin town. We are a general bookshop with a specialism in books to support and celebrate neurodiversity. Run by a combination of a former teacher/Special Educational Needs Coordinator and the Operations Director of a children's books sales agency, we recognise the power of stories to support children with additional needs to achieve their potential in every area of their lives, as well as to challenge stereotypical views of diversity and disability in our communities. We are committed to recommending books from the best publishers and working with schools and the local community to promote great reads for all.

We handpick books carefully for our shop, and for local schools and community groups. We love finding authors with personal experience and knowledge of diversity who write from an informed viewpoint, and searching for stories which are inspiring and realistic. We will be happy to suggest books to support a particular need and welcome suggestions for new topics for our lists.
