The Oundle Bookshop
The Oundle Bookshop is the oldest established independent bookshop in Northamptonshire selling new books
Housed in the beautiful porticoed Georgian building on Oundle's delightful Market Square, this charming bookshop has a wonderful children's department, as well as a large fiction area and comprehensive cookery, gardening, sport, history, biography, art, religion, humour and natural history sections.
Originally opened in 1923 as the Oundle School Bookshop, The Oundle Bookshop has always been at the heart of this famous public school town, serving both “town and gown” for 100 years. Acquired in 2010 by Colemans, it was well known for its traditional and “Real Bookshop” feel situated in a beautiful Georgian building at 13 Market Place, Oundle.
The Oundle Bookshop works proudly to maintain its status as a local business in Oundle and respecting its time-honoured history as a traditional bookshop.
The Oundle Bookshop hosts regular special events, including book signings for local authors and open evenings for new book launches. It also works closely with the Oundle Festival of Literature.
