The Writers' Prize (formerly Rathbones Folio Prize)
The Writers' Prize is awarded to the book which represents the truest example of literary excellence in any one year. It is open to all works of literature written in English of any genre or form (except for books written explicitly for children) and published in the UK.
The Prize is awarded annually for a book published in the previous calendar year. In 2024 the Prize winners - in each category of Fiction, Non-Fiction and Poetry, as well as the overall winner - will be announced on 13th March. The winning book receives £30,000 and the category winners £2,000 each.
The Writers' Prize is unique in that books are nominated and judged exclusively by the international body of writers making up the Folio Academy.
