TIMBERBOOKS is an independent high-street bookshop in West Kilbride, North Ayrshire, Scotland. Established in 2007, we now operate from a Victorian church and church hall called Overton, purchased from the Church of Scotland in 2013. We sell quality new, second-hand and antiquarian books and book-related items. We strive to support local authors and publishers. Timberbooks was selected as a Country Finalist for 'Independent Bookshop of the Year' at #TheBritishBookAwards both in 2021 and 2022.

What we've done with our commission from Bookshop.org so far (December 2021): At the 1st Anniversary of Bookshop.org in the UK, we'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has chosen to support us here. With our commission since we joined we've bought 20 new (extra) bookcases and we've also been able, at last, to commission a new boiler for the bookshop - so you're now assured of an even warmer welcome! All this has been made possible by you choosing to support us here, and we are very, very grateful.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. For over 70 years she dedicated her life in service to her nation and to the Commonwealth, and was a figure of national unity and stability. She led at all times with selfless devotion, and was all that is the very best in us. We join the Royal Family in their grief and offer our heartfelt condolences.
