University Bookshop
The University Bookshop is a small academic indie bookshop established in 1975 - celebrating our 50th birthday in 2025. We are part of Library & Learning Resources at Canterbury Christ Church University and offer the fullest support to our students, staff and the general public. Our 2018 refurbished bookshop is situated at the heart of campus – next to a coffee shop, and overlooking the university pond with an outside area to read and relax. Whilst we aim to provide the best customer service to all students during their time at university, we are here for all booklovers! We are open online and on campus (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm - excluding Bank Holidays).
Throughout the year we enjoy author events and book signings on campus, collaborating with our academic colleagues across all faculties. For the last ten years we have joined with local communities by providing pop-up festival bookshops to celebrate the Canterbury Festival, the Canterbury History Weekend, and the Folkestone Book Festival. We especially loved meeting up with Robin Ince on campus as part of his 100 Bookshop Tour.
We always keep in stock a wide range of books from academic textbooks to general bestsellers. An instore price-match is offered on titles from CCCU reading lists. We want to thank you for supporting us and bookshops like us on bookshop.org
