In the east of London, at the far end of the Roman Road; a street more famous for its jellied eels, bargain East End clothes' market and the birth of Grime; a street that for over 100 years has never seen a bookshop - Bàrd Books is so much more than a shop that sells books. By day it’s a place to work, chat and relax, surrounded by our colourful, carefully-curated bookshelves. By night there's a varied events docket, from monthly book club to tarot readings, authors in conversation and open mic nights.
As an independent female-owned business, we love to support similarly independent publishers who champion voices that otherwise go unheard.
