Catherine Mayer
Catherine Mayer is a bestselling author, journalist, activist, and the co-founder and President of the Women's Equality Party. She also co-founded the Primadonna Festival, designed to give prominence to work by women and voices from the margins. She has written four books: Amortality: The Pleasures and Perils of Living Agelessly, Charles: The Heart of a King, Attack of the Fifty Foot Women: How Gender Equality Can Save the World! and, with her mother Anne Mayer Bird, Good Grief: Embracing Life at a Time of Death. She has also written and performed a one-woman show and in 2019 was commissioned by the Globe Theatre to write and perform the play Dear Paula. She was a judge for the 2018 Women's Prize for Fiction.
